Welcome to the Sheltair Community Outreach Website! As a lifelong resident of the Town of Babylon and a business owner in our community, I am honored to introduce Sheltair to you. Founded in 1963 by Gerald M. Holland, Sheltair offers services in FBOs, Properties and Construction throughout Florida, Georgia and New York. We serve aviation communities throughout 19 airports and provide FBO (Fixed Based Operator) services at 13 of our properties. Our locations in New York include Republic Airport in Farmingdale, MacArthur Airport in Islip, Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach, LaGuardia Airport in Flushing, and Plattsburgh International Airport in Plattsburgh. Our corporate headquarters are located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are planning to make a significant investment in our region’s economy by upgrading our facilities at Republic Airport and have put together this website to provide you with some information about us, about what an FBO is, about Republic Airport, and about our proposed project.
